Last week I saw my first Lionfish; just one week later I saw the next one during my dive at the Crash Site. A certain indication of the fact that this species is spreading fast in our waters. This one was better positioned so I was able to take a picture of this fish in all its splendor. All poisinous fins open in a threatening display probably because I was too close by for his liking. This one, although looking large in the picture was actually smaller than the one at Aqualectra. I estimate this one at about 5 inches (head to tail). The depth were we found this one was about 21 meters (70 feet).More pictures of this dive can be found in the picture section under Pictures per dive site and then under Crash Site.
